Evoking a dangerous spirit

The war took such an immense slaughter
Few survived the conflict without scars
Before the invasions took place
At night, falling like cotton in the sky
They were dropped behind the lines
The paratroopers prepared to make war
To create disruption, to create chaos
They would evoke the God Ares
They wore an ancient paint on their face
Dropped from planes into dangerous places
Falling toward the earth, winds push
They fall rapidly, winds rushing up
Many reach the ground damaged
Some from impact, others violence
To jump in such a way, measured a man
It announced the presence of a warrior
And they surely raised havok
The enemy would be aware
That these warriors would slay them
With extreme patience, violence and aim
