Acquiesced

If you ever asked, I acquiesced
You demanded, I performed my task
But to have given all I have
And have nothing to show
It is as if I've been damned
For letting you have control
I agreed, to let you be content
Instead you hate me, it will stain me
It is a burden I will carry
And for my labors
You'll resent
I have nothing to offer
I refuse to repent
For there is no sin I've committed
But to allow you take my soul
And refuse to let me live
Again
