Same and Not

Night and day
Sorrow and joy
Courage and fear
Ecstasy and pain
Two centaurs
Represent the dichotomous
Spirits of man
Prance in the sun
And grasses of a meadow
A glorious day
No sign of rain
One plays the harp
With sublime excellence
In the shadows
Of a great oak
The other draws a bow
And kills with expertise
When he shoots
For the daily repast
One is wild and free
The other is focused
And filled with guile
Both are filled with talent
But differently aim themselves
One falls to the deepest depths
Of sadness
And rises to the heights of heaven
With joy
The other is even of mood
Without great distance
Between highs and lows
One is an artist
The other is a craftsman
Both share the same world
Despite their outlooks
Whether to build
Or destroy
Both are talented
Both dream
Both love
And bleed
The clouds fall down
The sky darkens
And rain comes
Again

I surrendered

In my home I was king
I lived in luxury and sweet comfort
But she came into my presence
And my being screamed
For here was this creature
Dancing with abandon
And sweet temptation
Before me she was
More than any man could desire
Such a cherished treasure
Temptation so powerful
Lust so indiscreet
I could taste it
And by any measure
She was perfect
She danced, moved so sweetly
Intoxicated my dreams
My being
So completely overwhelmed
By her
When she moved
Like she did
And again
Her perfume mixed with sweat
From her body’s work
Moving in rhythm
To the beat
My body swayed watching
And my heart moved along
Such sweet surrender
To her charms

My heart spoke and said
I completely surrender
And it was good

Death is an end of one day

Step away from reality
Forget about finality
Living is not the answer
Life is a fatal disease
Walk into the doorway
Walk upon a different stage
Walk upon the balcony
Enter in to a different place
Don’t be worried
Its all been arranged
Have an embrace
A kiss before dying
Azrael has been waiting
However you’ve come
You won’t be back
Forgive my apathy
No more wasting
No more desire
No more hope
Only fire
Only darkness
Only atrophy
So don’t wait long
Don’t worry nor weep
Don’t wail nor sadly sing
Time is a fantasy
Reality is endless
So long as you understand
Birth is a symphony
Death is an end of a single day
Life is a tragedy
Of a one act play
Living is a tune
Eternity is a rhapsody
A shout in a valley
A moment of exhilaration
Victory

I Fall

All the armor covering me
Could not save
My heart from being broken
From my love being forsaken
For I already gave
To her
All I am
And she said no
I could ride ten leagues
And slay many dragons
But her love is all
I desired
Banished from me
For eternity
I am left alone
I fall

Fetid I am

She is perfect
Her flesh a treasure
I am spellbound by her
Beauty beyond measure
Her body is pristine
Without blemish
Voluptuous and serene
She moves me
Her moves are agile
Her being lithe
Her breath is sweet
She spins about
And delicately turns
Tender and fragile
She is broken
By my hand
And there is no answer
For I am cancer
My flaws are ample
In her body I burn
When she is gone
I will consume her remains
For I am like a jackal
In the desert
Feeding upon carrion
However rotted
Or fetid
The corpse

Spider

The poison within
Infection begins
Starting from the site
From where the two collide
You never thought of me
How your love would strike
Weakening my resolve
The devastation bleeds me white
You never think
When you are about to hurt
You never care
That you make my life worse
This world is cold
Your love is never kind
Selfishly hunt for more
Destroying hearts like mine
You consume me
You drive my faith to despair
You create disillusion
As you pull me into your lair

The Swan Princess in the lilies

I saw her bathing in the pond
Through the tall grasses I spied
She was beautiful beyond my dreams
Her grace reminded me of a swan
So gently able to maneuver, and glide
The only sound, confluence waters of a stream
Filling the space where the pond lay
Where she was serene
In the summer sunlight
The gentle breeze
And my gaze
Tears filled my eyes
As I turned away
For she was so beautiful
So divine
In the Lilies
I knew she’d never be mine
