Surrounded by stainless steel walls, pristine
It feels safe, and clean, man made and sturdy
In this bunker, no corrosion, no stains, or rust
Accompanying the hum of machines, clean the air
Constant droning sounds, madness never stopped
Water had to purified, no source could be trusted
The world outside of our own, shattered, many died
The war was over quickly, it was a major disaster
Biological agents were released, a pandemic panic
In the destroyed world outside all dreams ended
Within the bunker, sealed and clean, we survived
But we are now likely sterile, unable to create anew
Watching our children grow, the final generation
God help us, we are the last, deserve to be so, too
