a stain upon your white shirt

What difference does it make
Has it ever made
That I love you
You live with the comfort of knowing
But act as if I am a stain
Upon your fine white shirt
Again
You have the advantage as usual
But it doesn't matter
I have made my case
And be it Hell or Heaven, I love you
I am unashamed
But it does hurt within
What does it cost
Just to acknowledge in reply
Whether Yes
You do
Or No
You don't
Or worse
You never did, and you see me as a stain
Bright red upon your virgin white
Clothes
Again
