Asking

How dare I ask
How dare I wish for more
Is it such a loathsome task
To think I would like to be adored?
How dare I ask
How dare I be silent
In your love I wish to bask
Let me revel in moments quietly
In knowing who you are
Of what you mean to me
Loving you so deeply
That I'm no longer free
For I long to be yours
In the seconds of the day
Lost in time, awash in you
In your arms, a refugee
