Radioactive Dust Dances in the Wind

Walking upon the desert, breathing in the dust
Of a radioactive landscape, born of our distrust
Lost our way, as we walked to the depths of hell
Sun beats a tale upon our neck, the skin will tell
Just how weary our flesh becomes, now my son
Let us act to save our future, we must overcome
To create a new story, to save the next generation
Nothing grows now, we'll need to fight starvation
Return to hope, restoring a world, that has burned
Do not be silent, as we build the machines of war
For they'll not save lives nor help us reach the stars
But lead us to an apocalypse, a permanent eclipse
Whatever victory declared will leave no winner
As we scavenge for food in a nuclear winter
