Nature versus Makers of War

In the late Winter the tribes were gathered
Neighbor peoples were preparing for war
Their silence in the absence of explanation
Turned into reasons for war, conflict began
But halfway between attacks and defense
A late Winter storm had formed, violently
And both tribes were near frozen in freeze
Retreat and returning home was not in fear
A storm itself left many on either side dead
Taught tribes a lesson, understanding war
Winter is the greater power, violently able
Wars are a waste of existence, no honor
Remember how much worse life could be
Memories guide us, remind us of the loss
