In Reflection

As we focus on gifts of the Sacred Shadow's sacrifice
Our ancestors stood upon the shore, giving their lives
To turn back the Persian Empire and all other invaders
As warriors of today reflect, we'll fight a new dictator
In reflection we're made aware, life and death pending
All blessings shared by ancestors, united, defending
Aware, we can't constrain goals of all they'd achieved
But future generations have their own world, needs
All memories of heroes, legends, answered the call
They left behind their sacred shadows, leaving awe
Our fates cannot compare, yet it is a natural thought
Warriors feel unworthy of those who'd fought
But they are indeed, worthy
