Regret is a trap
And we are all victims
No matter how innocent
We all become snared
Regret doesn't play fair
If we are diligent
We can escape
It isn't permanent
But whatever our desire
We will reenter the trap
Our souls come back
As if we want the pain
We try to be hopeful
Or honest
But we are never strong enough
We are delicate
And will shatter
Under the weight
Of becoming undone
