Eternal Winter

Snow flakes flutter in the swirling wind
The cold snatches my breath from within
But I am colder to begin with
Than Jack Frost can imagine
For I am alone on this winter eve
And will be until eternity
An eternal winter
Inside of me
Since she left, went away
Leaving me to wither
In my frozen season
Of sorrow
The pain of her absence
Worse than I can accept
Worse than frost bite or cold
I shiver, so depressed
Nothing can warm me
Nothing could warn me
That winter
Could last forever
