Humans lack something inside, if they do not feel an awe
Seeing the earth's bounty and beauty beyond any belief
We are spoiled perhaps, with every moment of discovery
Being perceived as being deserved, an entitled life on earth
But whales and other beings, who share this blue planet
Might view humans as being nothing, nothing of worth
Other than a pest, a polluters, killers, a fecund species
We might impress them with the need to flee our being
After all the slaughter we have done
