Throughout its history The earth has been seething
Although it is a mystery
The world is a living being
It expands and contracts
According to its will
When the humans
Are at war
Or they are
Living in peace
It makes no difference
To its functions
It is aware
But aloof
But we should know
At any given hour
Humanity will fall
And when it does
And where it does
The toll will be
Beyond measure
And the seeds of the past
Will give birth to the future
And humanity will forget
It ever lived before
As the earth spins
