Thor's Raiders

The burning crops
And crows flying
In circles over the fields
The folk running swiftly
Into the forest in fear
Invaders chasing them
Riding hard upon them
Hard upon their heels
Moving quickly enough
To take down the weak
The old and very young
Falling upon the land
The slaughter is begun
The crows keep flying
For they’ve seen this before
The blood harvest continues
And then they seek more
It will never end
It never ends
For the men in armor
Who serve their god Thor
Return every year
Upon their ships
Return to harvest
Our crops, our treasures
Take slaves
And bring death

Raven Flying Over Stones

The raven flew above the stones
Set into place by ancient men
Long ago
To mark their holy ground
To place a monument
To remember
Not a sound in the area
A testament to the reverence
A solitary existence
Of a sanctuary
For the memories
Of the lost
Ancient tribes of men
Forgotten but for the stones
Never appearing again
Over the green horizon
But the stones remain

Nightmare Factory

Humanity awaits final judgment
For the sins of the past
And the dreams that never were
Undelivered redemption has passed
And there is nothing that can save us
From the nightmares we preferred
Over righteousness
Over hope
Over faith
The ovens burned with humanity
And so shall our pyre
For the nightmares we create
