Yesterday, a sun burned hot but only for so long
Bright light but cool breeze of when Autumn calls
A world has its own clock, it doesn't pick favorites
When Autumn goes, the sun is mild and snow falls
No time better than now to say, oh how I am cold
As a dying sun fades, as dreams come, fate befalls
Our shelter shifts, a foundation is in full collapse
Nothing's lasts, except things we can't measure
Nothing ever remains the same, but the eternal
We are made of flesh, not of stars and stuff
Time never acts for us, as does for others
