When the menace was known, it led intelligent people to try and end it
But when the menace was ignored, people grew lazy, and did nothing
The nuclear beast was not destroyed, its damnation and fire beckons
We think ourselves wise, we believe ourselves far too brilliant to act
Didn't we make the weapons to use, we gave birth to a beast ourselves
The disaster is a result of our hands, and our existence will end
With the beast we created as the only one left
