From the Outside Looking in

Looking from afar, my land is beautiful
From the distance, life seems great, but
Life presents us with so many questions
Growing up isn't easy, especially as adults
We're confused by desires and the truth
Look into the past, with no real answers
However deep one might reach, no results
All hope shattered, as a body with cancer
Without any solitary moment of breath
If all our prayers shall go unanswered
We're breathing in without the oxygen
And all our dreams are turned dust
If life doesn't come with instructions
Without a purpose or a known quest
Our existence becomes a riddle of sorts
Since we're given birth with no form
Life demands your cost and obedience
With no way to win, I can't pass the test
Imagination can't see beyond the limits
With no power, we fall deep in darkness
This flesh fails and fear is yet manifest
For all I have seems empty of worth
But for my legacies created
And for my soul, as it is priceless
