The Day After Everything is Gone

The utter horror of confusion will follow
With a trauma similar to the disaster itself
And crushed by thought of all the chances
With the events that leave one hollowed
Grave damage and fears that overwhelmed
How might one have fled the circumstances
That now leave you in a darkened place
Should run for safety, lose your home
Or stay within that structure, and you die
Attempt to escape, it isn't luck you chase
But the love of your normal, family, home
And for all of the memories that survive
There in your memories is your life
Memories that are worth more
Than you will ever lose with fire
