With a Kiss

To kiss, to twist waiting for completion
Anthems have been sung, applause given
Still with me there has been nothing
Only and solely emotional starvation
I still wait, asking for reply, oh treason
As a soul screams, refusing to be forgiven
For the act of wanting simple receipt
Of something more than deceit
And such foolish hope for more
It burns in my core
Waiting
Waiting
For nothing, nothing remains
