Laugh

In the past people buried valuables in the ground
They'd be secretive and move, lurk in shadows
So quiet, they'd try to hush any sound
I never bury my treasure
Because my treasure is you
I couldn't be silent, I'd shout so loud
I know that you are the greatest prize
Your love is something I shouldn't have
I deserve nothing, I should be cursed
I look at all the years that have turned to dust
And I laugh
In any race I will come in last
But with you, I've been first
And that's the only race that matters
Even in the end as the wind scatters
Our ash, mixed together
And left for the wind to spread
Across the face of the earth
Let us into the winds be cast
