To find them, to slaughter them there in their lair
To defeat them in combat represents a chance
To slay an apex foe, a magnificent opponent
A dragon is a creature that's exquisitely rare
Many dragons are evil, some that are not
While the victory might thrill
The desire alone is not justice
Human warriors often desire to kill
And slay the good and the evil alike
Rather than being praised
Have legacy that is exalted
It is a measure of our bestial nature
Refusing to let each other live in peace
To slay another, an other
Instead of leaving them there
Free from pain, free from sorrow
