There is a difficult truth about life
That however beloved, or embraced
Every single life that lives, will end
The fading, weakening of everything
Entropy, the failing of a life form
The decay, the misery of a being
All flesh ages, losing the ability
To thrive or endure, to transcend
What had begun with great energy
Falling, the life form's story ends
So very endless the process, unless
The spirit world in constant stasis
The flesh in a state of degradation
If fat or in the throes of starvation
If healthy or ill, suffering disease
The flesh fades, it always does
To exist does not require belief
But to enter forever is different
We must defeat the power of entropy
With the mind and soul refusing
To let one process end, while entering
There finding the new and final state
justice, and to protest against the universe of
grief, he must create happiness.” Albert Camus
