The foul bringer of pestilence, disease and plague
Demands nothing, he is content, unknown by name
His horse is white, but not pure, powerful, austere
A rider who is cloaked in armor, and fights with ardor
He is not evil, does not strike with malice only duty
Death knight, servant of the palace, with eyes of ruby
It is not his will that leads him to spread the disease
He will not go unfulfilled, he infects, and deceives
A rider of a white horse, bringer of the decayed flesh
He is unconcerned for any fame, he brings only death
Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come." I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer. — Revelation 6:1–2
