Your Sphinx

You know, I'd done everything I knew how to do
But you said there was more left so I was through
You can't fix what someone is born with, or thinks
Even if what you believe is an ultimate pure truth
You will always find any fault so I bid you adieu
I'd have given everything I own for a single glimpse
Of the paradise you want, but until you decide
I'm a statue, staring out, a solitary silent sphinx
Saying nothing, and forever quiet in your presence
