Longing for Her Presence

My soul still longs for her presence
To hear her voice, to know her being
But since she passed my life is absence
My flesh is cold, my skin turned gray
My being is tempted to feel regret
For all the things I should say
I cannot offer hope, or confess
My folly is sorrow, but that is not a crime
We have only one life and death will come
It is only a matter of time
I will not forget, nor choose my fate
Please don't ask me to decide
