Nuclear Rain

To fly beyond the speed of sound
And escape radar detection
To dance through the minefields
In heavy armored tanks
To jump around in the nuclear clouds
The current yields are powerful
Irony is dangerous
Sarcasm is not allowed
We wonder why it matters to try
If we all are fated to one day die
But to learn diplomacy or negotiation
Is not for personal gain
Nor is it a fool's game
It can save us from ourselves
From absolute mutual destruction
What does it matter?
The future matters
The nuclear fall out matters
Even as precipitation spreads the stain
Of nuclear radiation through the deadly black rain
