Recreating Battle

They dance and by that demonstrate
With spears and armor, and order
How they fought the enemy
With courage and honor
Not for glory, but for the cost
They perform to remind us
Defending our home is sacred
The lives lost are tragic
All the great and common die
But there are those who ignore
And chose to mock this
Or worse the citizens forget
The lives spent in a battle won
Which are then tossed away
All of the honor is lost
And it serves only hatred
For violence is rarely righteous
And courage must not be spent
On a cause that serves few
Or worse, no one
