I was called to be a witness
As I lived through this existence
Playing upon my great regret
Of the choices of the flesh
But the enemy confessed
A contradiction of darkness
Trading hope for lust
Receiving envy for trust
Moment by moment fear rising
A yield disastrous of human pride
Lived inside was a mystery inside
Of the worst possible timing
Living the last seconds of life
And an eternal judgment waiting
But my flesh was dead
And my soul decided
I refused to fall
I would never serve
And left my soul to the judge
Who offered mercy instead
