A tree's enormous branches, filled with life
Ravens sit, wait patiently as a world fades
They could cry to Heaven in sorrow, forever
Every thing upon the world that lives, dies
All that has breath, that moves enters decay
Our dream will not accompany us
To the beyond, to the nevers
The spirit won't fall
And will never pass from view
Our flesh, our waking mind
Feeds upon the storms not the calm
Bu the exciting is a lie
And it obscures the truth
We must live, we must find a way
Even as we live temporary lives
Within what is a flesh cage
Our mortal body will change
From pink to a fading blue
Every life, even the beautiful
Even the sorrowful or joyful
We enter the cycle upon birth
As we try to endure, thrive
Find a life of infinite worth
Before we die, before we're gone
Trapped in the mire and clay
For we must rise before we fall
Before we fade and decay
So just rise, it is all I can say
