The stone foundation, columns and statues all broken yet remain
It must've been beautiful, while standing impressive in that day
The people who designed, built it have long ago been forgotten
But they built with purpose, a purpose that to present still lasts
Reminding the future, humans possessed able and creative minds
Temples, theaters, arenas all shouted out, that humans were here
The epic architecture might fall, but they help to aim our minds
The remnant stone structures are a key to remembering the past
Nothing is built from stone, is without purpose and grand design
