When the World Burns

In my search for meaning
I've flown across the universe
I watch from the beginning
Through to the end of a world
The beauty always spectacular
With a unique way about them
They spin on their axis and turn
Some have life, others barren
Each of the planets is a lifeform
As time ends I watch them burn
As nothing that lives lives forever
Perhaps in one way, that of DNA
We create and live in the others
And we move on
Our spirit moves into the nether

“The Expulsion from Paradise is eternal in its principal aspect: this makes it irrevocable, and our living in this world inevitable, but the eternal nature of the process has the effect that not only could we remain forever in Paradise, but that we are currently there, whether we know it or not.”  Franz Kafka
