Farewell Until Forever

In the ancient lands of Egypt those given a funeral
Woven around the body a mummy's cloth and tomb
Would have had a status in society above common
And still this was less than a promise of renewal
For the dead was gone to enter eternity's womb
A mummy might comfort the living, eternity is awesome
So none should pity the dead, only those left behind
For the enemy of the flesh is neither evil nor good
But the wages and costs of time
