When Michelangelo painted upon the ceilings
Of the moment when God and Adam touched
Did his images capture the moment of creation
And it was creation, was it the moment when
Man created God or when God created humans
Is God an eternal presence or is he an old man
Can we even perceive, or do we have to believe
To be given the gifts of life, to ever achieve
