We were forged in battle
Our souls etched by pain
We shall defend our people
We now live upon the remains
Of the generations of kin
Of the Rus, Of the Khan
We ride upon the Don
We are composed
Of ancient blood and dna
We celebrate the day
When our time came
As an Ancient people
We were fighting demons
We had dreams of empire
And had to defend our land
We cannot leave our mother
We bleed patriot's blood
Inside our hearts is fire
This is our land
It is covered with our history
Places named for our own
Tombs litter the fields
This is our home
We are the defenders
Knowing only this life
We were born of labor
Workers and Sailors
Leaders and machinists
Knowing only this strife
We are born of Steel
Made of flesh and blood
Pulled from our mother's body
From her womb torn
Our land Russia
Feeds her people
Bears our sins
Stands in battle
We will defend her
A red tide
Acting as a flood
Perhaps we will die
But our blood will baptise her
In the name of the Great Patriot War
