Womb to Tomb

I watch in a world confused
So what were we to do?
Was it a false lead, or simple ruse?
Do we believe ourselves wise
We chose to delay adulthood
But in doing so we have sewed the seeds
Of doom and we are complicit
Hands red with blood, our sins are a flood
And what it is left when you kill your own
Devouring the young, casting out the old
The earth is our mother
We are born from her womb
What is left? if we've lost our hope
With so few dreams possible
We've created so little
And looked at the world
As something to consume
We lost our dreams
And earth has become our tomb
For now and here after
