Laughing at the Flood

They held hands, stood there waiting
A rush of the cascading flood came
Flood waters devoured everything
All things once dry were now wet
They laughed as they weren't moved
And soon, flood waters were abating
Two spirits made of fire, still untamed
This moment of life left them content
They were as powerful as they proved
Love made them stand there and laugh
In the face of danger, the pulsing flood
In their veins was love instead of blood
So they stood completely unafraid
Unflinching, waiting, wild
Alive with spirits aflame
Love is a form of being bound
Love means you have hope
Love is a song without a sound
Woven in a cord of three strands
The three comes from the truth
Two are made one by love
Love is third strand of the rope
