What if there is nothing?

Looking into the nothing
Of the stars above
And the black night
My world was breaking
It still is
A body once young
Now old and tattered
An idea embodied
If it is true
That with age
We'll grow wise
What if
With youthful dreams gone
And grave doubts
The dream is shattered
Laying in pieces
Upon a dark horizon
Our future spat out
In the pain of living
Existence's path of lies
Or life fading from view
How do we start forgiving
When we are the ones
Who made the choices
Leading here where I stand
The sound above
Asking me when you die
Will you enter Heaven
Or face permanent oblivion?
