From Nazi German concentration Camps
To Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib
The use of torture violates human rights
In the hands of a master it destroys a life
Tortured men and women will always break
The body cannot perceive beyond the pain
If a mind cracks from the torment and grief
Surrender beckons the mind, offering relief
But we should resist, as pain is just the start
If one gives in to evil works of the torturer
Very soon that master will move to murder
Either killing the flesh, or wasting a spirit
Your fight gives others the ability to persist
