Discreetly Hidden, But Never Forgotten

Her mouth tasted like honey
Her kisses would remind me
Of the fleeting days of youth
While being in love proof
I had to find a way to face
All the hurt upon the surface
I know it doesn't matter now
I was shattered, somehow
I know I'm still broken
Memories and instinct
All feel that pain within
But this is a terminal kind
Of losing what I can't describe
No forgetting what was stolen
By the thief of life called time
Forget it all
It is last call
Time to forget everything
And let everyone sing
Elegies for the lost still existing
And all of the sins still burning
Festering, fecund, fragile lives
Somehow while fetid, persisting
In the madness some thrive
Where love doesn't survive
