Imagine 1929, Only Worse

We are told how moments in the past still linger
But no single word can express the event faced
Imagine a global economy, larger, many times over
Than the one that crashed in the misery of 1929
Shattered and crushed and no longer able to work
After manipulations of trust and actors seeking power
The desire for money and materialist lusts
It shall reveal a crash that cannot be recovered from
It will come in a form no one recognizes, yet
But know, that it will be changing a world
Naive and trusting hopeful and foolish
As the rich will get even more of the money
The middle class will dwindle, if not disappear
And the poor beaten down so that they remember the rules
This is the beast and there are more
They wait upon the gates of Babylon
They hunger, and have not been fed for decades
Show fear, be prepared, for they are growing near
