The Consequence of Human Hands

If corporations are allowed to decide the safety of the environment
If we encourage politicians to make rules and negotiate the terms
Our world shall be made toxic, polluted, wholly burnt unto ashes
The foxes in charge of the hen house, will never choose to relent
We'll be buried by their choices, the mistakes, in freshly turned dirt
And the world will be dead shortly thereafter, serving as a casket
For we were made stewards of the land, and chose instead to kill it

"Mankind has never experienced a misfortune of this magnitude, with consequences so grave and so hard to eliminate." Boris Yeltsin  Firm Hope Amid Chernobyl’s Gloom
