Leaving Home

Fleeing the place, misery would make you drown
But she held his arm as he pushed the pedal down
He said to her, we'll never reach the escape velocity
She screamed, I don't care, I want to do it, do it now
Smiling, already knowing he could never go home
He pushed the pedal down until it couldn't go further
For a moment, silently, they felt like they could fly
And To escape the small minded weak philosophy
Worth dying in a flaming wreck, light up the sky
For to do so felt like chains falling from the body
And happiness in that small town was just a dream
Live fast, live short, find our future burnt down
We won't cry, we'll disappear without a sound
And no one will know the difference
Nor care
