Genocide

When the Rwandan Genocide occurred the world watched and did nothing
They perhaps helped in counting the dead victims, watched with cameras
When the Armenians were slaughtered by distinct intention by the Turks
The world couldn't watch, and then questioned what exactly happened
What good does it do, what is the point, to ask questions and then stop
How can we improve when our worst acts are performed with passion
The world stops to say oh how terrible, and does nothing thereafter?
If we do nothing and if we are neutralized into a static inaction
We've condoned the slaughter, we've become complicit
As if we've taken the weapon and gone out and did it
