The Idea

An idea that births a movement
Or  suggests we are a gear of a machine
Is to create an eternal revolution
A thought that has inspired many
Ideas and people can both become deadly
For on either side of a bayonet is a worker
Freedom rewards more than imposed order
And yet... order of any sort allows recovery
From the damage of when the world last burned
One can survey the land, and see the damage
No one gets to decide how one might survive
And unless they survive time means nothing
For life refuses to bow before all but time
Giving to each of those who have served
Only what they are able to take
Not what they ultimately deserve

"... all of us, and you and I especially, are descended from
immigrants and revolutionists.”  Franklin D. Roosevelt
