Walking on Holy Ground

I hear you whisper in my sleep
Telling me how great I'll become
I've never been, not even in dreams
But you believed and redeemed me
And I now I am alone, without you
All I have is memories of what you said
Otherwise there are no sounds
I am surrounded in silence
You're gone, you are dead
And I'd give anything
To be the one gone instead
I miss you, you'll be missed forever
Where you walked was holy ground
You know I have nothing now
But memories of you
You were too humble to be famous
But you are a warrior of renown
Fighting last stand battles
Winning every one
Your voice became a song
I can't remember the words
Only the music playing in the background
The memories move me
The memories echo, a hope resounds
