Dead Reckoning

Years have passed with your name still upon my lips
When I call out in pain, why aren't you there
You aren't anywhere, anymore, I am alone
But you linger
Just as dust in the air
So free from this world
You escaped the torment of this life
And without you here, it is my turn
I've entered the abyss
Still remembering your kiss
That could free me and redeem me
For you were my salvation
I've nothing but a soul in starvation
And I am alone and missing you again
As the rest of my life, I shall be
