The Moment
Transcended the prison of life
Because I found what I needed
I found it and it was you
I knew that you'd become my lover
Not due to my lust, nor desperation
Nor even fear, only satisfaction
My heart took its first beat
Transformed, after meeting you
I lived for that moment in time
After a lifetime of searching
I found the rarest 4 leaf clover
Your voice, form, soul, and being
Your presence was heavenly scent
All of those covered me with glory
A sort of joy, you filled me with fire
Your love has been transformative
Others are ignorant of manifest grace
Left me in tears, for seeing the truth
Searching for you you complete me
I promise that you are my only hope
Never have known the impact of one
Now you've healed me completely
Your love has become my home
A Raven Spoke to Me
After she passed I was distraught
I had to understand I was alone
After the funeral I was exhausted
So I sat watching the sunset in silence
I thought I was alone there as I waited
My sorrow great, my world had died
A massive fire of a sun was defeated
As it sunk quietly below the horizon
Darkness rose, the clouds faded
Ink black richness permeated night
The moon was bright, giving shadows
A raven landed and seemed conceited
It freely offered me enlightenment
It spoke in a tongue I understood
It said No one waits for the final day
Who will have a chance to see that
Mists that obscure vision won't decay
So you'll be blinded in any event
But ultimately it is a meaningless
For it is the journey that matters
To begin or to end offer closure
Neither actually mean a thing
When one is finding the truth
Journey is the one thing
That makes each of us whole
What you do will affects
Who you become
All who watch from afar
Aappreciate both aspects
Comfort in beginning and end
Day comes the burning sun
Every night the moon has a role
So be content as life goes onward
Constancy gives us perspective
But living the moment or event
There's truth you can actually know
Take an effort to heal your soul
It is worth your time and investment
Only With You
Of saying things that are true
But the consequences remain
Of the reflections in the mirror
Offer me a stereoscopic view
I can't endure and stay the same
But there's nothing left to be said
My flesh is weak, my soul sings
That I only desire to be with you

Van Gogh and our Madness, not his
Vincent Van Gogh is remembered
As much or more for bouts of madness
As than of his art, vision, or paintings
He is seen has having demonstrated folly
Of a fallen artists, without a perceived sanity
He'd seen his world in colors and forms, unseen
The world didn't feel his enlightened love
He saw the sunlight and considered it divinity
If he was broken, he was also highly gifted
If his life was sadness, he was also the chosen
Did not deserve his gifts, or his innocence
Modern minds did not earn his masterworks
But still you hear people say he was insane, mad
One who lived and acted without lucidity
But they? As sane as they are
Do they presume to know what is good
They pursue nothingness and ignorance
Pursuing material goods, like they are divinity
Emptied of humanity, they prefer the dirt over gold
They prefer vulgarity over the voice of angels
They prefer a pornographic modernity
Rather than view art from the eye of God
We've been cursed over time by modern minds
In every land they exist to tell us to not believe
Cold facts and statistics and logic are fine
But they do not devalue a view of life
That will overcome our greatest failings
That will restore this planet or find a new home
Over and again, they lead us to violence, vapidity
They attack never ending until the genius is dead
And even then, perhaps, still never ending
Explore Grace
It has been said that humans are selfish
Most will tend to be graceless
But we also can create great beauty
Love burns in us, if our morals are dim
We might see neighbors as faceless
And we muddle through
Can't see our path truly
The living of life brings great chagrin
Until one sees the grace of a ballerina
Until one hears the glory of an opera
Ignorant to the possible beauty within
As poured out for others upon a stage
This epic calm may overcome
The beast's rage, and fills one with grace
They Stand, Enduring
To the Chinese people the mountains were alive
With characteristic traits and wisdom abundant
However, the mountains never reveal their ideas
They are immense, rising endless, truly intelligent
Should they seem silent, know that they abide
Existing for centuries, their grace resplendent
Each mountain unique, the galleries of the eons
Iconic monuments of wisdom lost, and gained
Centuries burning passed the future horizon
A statement upon Modernity's Moral Code
Gods do not need believers to exist
Revolutions need no martyrs to resist
Belief and proof do not create
Nor do they have the power to enable
The whole is a collective
Persistence is not a fable
You are unimportant to an idea
Have no impact upon its being
A miracle happens
With or without being seen
Solipsism, modernity's greatest lie
A transformation from me to I
Solipsism is worse than Nihilism
It is a false ideology of a false system
A fickle, toxic, and false putrid stink
Pity all of the future's generations
Modernity will collapse
As all do
From mental starvation
We can't feed ourselves alone
And solipsism insists
Everything we have
Everything we might know
Comes from all we are
Comes from our spiritual feast
And our moral famine
Our inner stagnation
Self derived
Self inspired

Against the Legions of the Night
We had long fought the foe, defended the kingdom
We'd won many battles, staved off a final defeat
With so few now left to fight, we'd become aware
That as the dead legions rose, with evil's minions
We were outnumbered, but unwilling to flee
When finished there'd be an emptied enemy lair
And the day would be won by pure bravery
The question decided by our actions
The end now prepared
The Room is Padded
In the cold rain as cars flew by
I couldn't endure, I was bleeding
My heart was frozen cold in pain
They took me, for fear of suicide
I was silent but I was screaming
asking, asking asking
Was I born like this, or chosen to be insane
But I am ready
I need some time
To quietly consider my life
The pills they gave me
Are just right
The rooms were ice cold and wet
But the walls are padded, and I sleep
Attendants gave me a jacket to wear
Holds my arms tight, if I am upset
Alone in my cell, without my dreams
Surrounded by men who don't care
The asylum is what I need
It is who I am
When I bleed
Someone comes and nicely
Washes the bloody sheets
By Moon's Light the Hunt Begins
In the twilight's glow, the killing has begun
After a century of a war that cannot be won
The slaughter intense, the darkness a shield
For villagers and farmers, death is the yield
An apocalypse of killing, announcing the wild
Sating a hunger, the hunt is so far unfulfilled
Tonight is the final arrival of night's tribes
Smoke rises, the humans have been killed
A fire runs wild rampage through the village
The wild hunt brings an onslaught and pillage
HOWL
And when the season of the hunt begins
There inside them the blood simmers
The hunger rises the beasts gather
Each tribe is read to slay prey
Beasts each with a need within
Seeing prey, their eyes glimmer
No walls will stop the gatecrashers
Before long, all of the villagers are slain

And then, the Mongol fleet returned
Hakata Bay was fortified
An ocean wall was built
And sentries kept watch
A serene dream for some
To imagine, innocently
That they'd done enough
But nightmares do return
Black ships with archers
Bringing horses to ride
To enter the bay with a purpose
Their numbers beyond count
As they began to make war
By invasion, defeat of Japan
To achieve sovereignty
Over the defiant island
Japan's own future distinct
Would be determined
By the Shogunate's measures
Either side of the divide
Each had courageous warriors
Heroes are not made by words
But bravery in defiance
To offer resistance
To defeat
Led by the elite samurai
Or the Mongol warlords
Whatever the result
Risk and casualties certain
Then Mongols sent waves
Horseman and infantry attacks
In reply defensive actions
And glorious tasks
Meant the decision
Would be distinct
Defined, measured out
For the question had no answer
The battlefield swept
With the return visit
Of the Kamikaze
The Mongols scattered
Their goals shattered
Lives crushed
Crashed upon the shores
With the few survivors
Limping back across the sea
To tell the tale of disaster
And future unfulfilled dreams
Mask Worn
Born from sorrow, hope for any trust
Flesh turned dust, fashioned from lust
Each being made of clay, a soul spark
Life a masquerade played in the dark
For every scorn filled life
Is a soul screaming unto death
The bitter pain of living for nothing
Losing everything
For a final sorrow filled breath
In The Sleep Domain
Giants and faeries, nymphs and more of the faeries kin
Living in a different dimension, it comes alive in dream
As the princess was so sorrowed, she stole away to sleep
The many faerie kin there took notice and bore her burden
She worried, her love had been killed and she was hurting
And the faeries and kin however mischievous know love
Offering hope and healing, singing joy to the heavens above
Stunned by Innocence
We are told that mothers and fathers
Instinctively and always know
Every child is born innocent
But truth and time changes us all
A child who joyously dances
In the huge puddles left by rain
Is the same child who cries
Over a small temporary change
Feeling everything in their heart
Emotions become life long pain
If you are a parent you'll see
Capturing a child in a moment
You'll watch but know
They are different than me
They see what cannot be seen
By you and other adults
Because the layers of their vision
Are not obscured by sorrow
Or a hunger the same as yours
If someone looks hard for the truth
A certain amount is revealed
But we cannot be perfect
Nor we can we even see it
Again this comes from innocence
Every adult has forgotten their own
And wages of time are relentless
A child can see into life
All that was meant to be there
They can still see a perfect form
In the wrinkles and smile of an old woman
Or the walls of a castle as standing tall
But to adult minds, time makes them see
That long ago they've fallen
Children see these things for reason
It is because they're innocent
Adults are stunned by this, it can be hard
As a child seeing perfect isn't pretense
Sadly children lose this, a portent
Being a child is a state of delay
Soon we lose the ability to see perfect
We convince ourselves it can't exist
We've been stained by our adult eyes
Holding our pride up high
By that exalting our name
Losing innocence, by a witness of life
Perfection and innocence might exist
But it seems as if we've forgotten
And then lost the knowledge to find it
Which speaks to a manifest shame
Of loss and great cost

The Globe Spins, As Entropy Wins
And fails
The globe spins
And the rot within
Reveals therein
A faltering system
Like a dying human
It is fading
Trying to listen
To the dying machine
That rules all of life
It feels surreal
Vistas a dream
When it is serene
But those times are fleeting
As the orbit decays
Pushes forward to an end
If the cogs are broken
And the spires bent
Grinding away
Destroying inside
Committing suicide
But the globe spins
As entropy wins
Not only animals come out at night
As they are watching, darkness grows
The sky turns as a brilliant sun sets
All living beings pace nervously
Waiting for the inevitable
There are gatherings
When the tribes meet
As the moon rises
The hunters and the prey
And they all come out at night
They are the answer for one thing
The question what or who to kill
What they hunger for is meat
Even if that truth is difficult
The night is full of victims
Each tribe is alive with energy
With killing upon their mind
Leaving the corpse flesh flensed
Leaving that quarter of the world
Emptied
But they do not see themselves
As harvesting misery
They believe themselves
And there tribes
As being proud hunters
A necessary gear in the machine
They are bringers of destiny
And the maker of fate
Sometimes the silence is darkness of sound
There, hidden from view, kept in the chamber
So far beneath the surface, told to keep silent
Holding views thought to be filled with danger
A prisoner who if freed would lead to violence
Over time, he decayed, and was to be forgotten
Forsaken by his keepers, he eventually faded
He was mutant born, child of rape, misbegotten
No sustenance, he died after his flesh was tainted
His corpse discovered long after his being passed
The victory of the small force
Could stand against the empire
With a reach from Korea to the Levant
But it is not impossible to know
Through history nations function well
For the same kind of reasons
With cultures that define themselves
If is chaos dances
Upon the international stage
Some people rebel from the empire
Some never join with others
Some refuse to be subordinate
From the very beginning
The Japanese military leader
The Shogunate
Spoke for the Emperor
And when great empires gather people
Such as did the Mongol empire
They rarely meet such unique nations
Who are willing to die rather than serve
The response against them was focused
The Japanese would prove their worth
Upon fields of battle
And they would test the empire
Who had numbers without count
Using an elite of warriors
And a people who had an anger
Fully awakened
If the Japanese failed
The Shogunate would be seen weak
And be replaced
As a step falsely taken
The action of the Japanese
Would be thought as forsaken
For they were comparatively few
Compared to the Mongol empire
But the Mongols tried twice
And never won
Against the Japanese samurai
The elite led the armies
With compliance of the locals
Defended the land
Until nature would send a reply
And the Divine Wind did come

The Point of it All
There is a perception of our being
One that hovers nearby
In the midst of our life
It seems that youth is fleeting
As seconds tick away
Without notice
While others pass by
With more awareness
Those joining us on the journey
See the time differently
Even when we share the same moment
Time passes in children so quickly
For the aged, elderly, glacially slow
In those about to die
Time passes without notice
For there is only one thing upon the mind
Where have I come in life, where will I go
Is there anything I missed
Did I again miss the point
Was there anyone I was meant to know
Or anyone I needed to meet
Is there anything that I wish now
That would have changed it all
Did I miss seeing
All that would let me grow
Noise
When you left me behind
Again, it was then
That you made your choice
I endured, I even survived
I had to overcome pain
I had nothing to lose
Your choice freed me
Your words are empty
I refuse to listen
All there is now is noise
You came offering gifts
Asking to be forgiven
You'll never find an answer
Even by begging
You're a coward
I won't listen to your voice
You made your decision
So live by that
Not interested in you
In making your life better
I exist regardless
Your confession is meaningless
Understand me, I'm not your toy
Stop harming me physically
And leave my emotions alone
You're not worth the pain
That you have caused
I refuse to accept it
Don't want any more
I have surely been mistaken
Even if quite often
Perhaps I am ugly and wrong
You made me aware of my flaws
As you forced me to live with yours
And trust that is over
I'm finished with that
The Last Stand
When both sides expend all of the missiles
Bombs and all kinds of explosive ordinance
They'll destroy everything
Countless cities, innocent people
After all is gone, no tears, no protestation
There will be no more nations
Only a killing zone
Where it becomes murder by any other name
Our civilization lost in utter shame
Killing, if in person or from a distance
The destruction will be immense
There will be nothing left
No hope for an armistice
The few left irradiated
As the fires lead to cremation
And still, some plot, others act
One single bomber takes to the sky
Alone, no escorts, no enemy planes
With a bomb bay full of death
Even more will die
Soon there will only be ruin
Burnt flesh, as a sort of offering
To the gods who no longer speak
For they've been destroyed as well
The earth will be dying
All we love lost, forever
As the world becomes Hell
NOTE: The bomb-load of the B-52: 70,000 lb
(31,500 kg) mixed ordnance; bombs, mines,
missiles, in various configurations.
Defiant on every front
Waiting for the human stormWalls were few, but guarded
The bushi led by samurai
Refused to submit
Denying the conqueror
Anything like a victory
So the storm came
Even as the defenders
Became surrounded
Defenders refused to give in
If dead, they'd live on
In vaunted memory
If they lived and won
Entered in history
Kublai Khan's goals
Had been confounded
He also refused to fail
But the storm became real
The Mongol fleet tried
They attempted to flee
But the Divine Wind blew
From the gods came a gale
Bore a message for delivery
The Kamakura Shogun lived
The true resolve was pure
And they were rewarded
As this Kamikaze saved Japan
Later as disaster beckoned
As the enemy moved forward
Taking Japanese lands
The samurai were tested
But were losing
So the rulers decided
The Divine Wind was needed
Atomic bombs answered
The Allies rose their flag
Over a Japan
That had lost
The divine approval
The Kamikaze failed
To save Japan
As the leaders realized
They were not gods
Could not call storm clouds
Their failure
was just as complete
As a Mongol fleet crushed
One invasion was rejected
The other seemingly
Invited

The Landfall
Ships brought warriors over the sea
Servants, sailors and horse men
From across the Mongol Empire
To conquer or to bring order
To subdue a people, resisting
To defeat the defenders
Of the defiant nation of Japan
Warriors of either side all ready
To die, to end up slaughtered
The defense of a land or idea
A people or a leader instead
For to die would brings honor
And to his family even more
But a way to remember
With a form of contentment
Aside from just being dead
SOURCE
Prepare Now, Humanity Will Fall
Lulled into a dire sleep by our ignorance
We're the frogs in a pot beginning to boil
Perceptions dulled by drugs and affluence
Our deceptions manifest, we are pestilence
We would never pay the watchman's toll
Catastrophic hands of the clock chiming
We've ignored every warning sign given
The moment is now, we've perfect timing
We refuse to change how we're living
Dark clouds and dust blot out the sun
While storms pour down lightning
We've watched like shocked witnesses
Judgment day and we're not innocent
Approaching is an imminent doom
We see it, yet remain unaware
Now Armageddon has begun
The time of our species is done
Even as we've known for long
We've managed to remain aloof
Honor is measured as dissonance
If we have no way yet left
To correct all our wrongs
We will never know
In the Darkness, They are Light
It was my opinion at the time that my life was done.
I was tired of it all and I no longer cared. Life had
grown empty, painful and flawed. Why start over,
or even finish what was begun?
I traveled to the center of a nearby forest. I had to
find a way to find peace, to go on a retreat. Upon
the first evening, as I faded off to sleep. I heard
only the rustling tree limbs.
Various animals hunted, various prey fled.
Raccoons played and moose walked.
And in wonder and awe, I saw the light
I saw them dance, lights moved in a flow
As the faeries shone the brilliance echoed
In that forest all was lit, now easily seen
The joy was visible, bright
Distant stars and Northern lights can't compare
In the past humans told stories about them
But reading those stories, they didn't know
That night didn't make me frightened
I only felt awe
I had a grand epiphany
As I saw the glow, I saw
Knew it was them I knew laying still
That after so many years somber
Still in movement cold to the touch
I was finally alive, again
Remembering youth
How else could I have been witness
This is an experience I can't share
I'll be laughed at, should I try to explain
Even if I say nothing
I have to hold on to the experience
And the meaning of that
I'll try to see in this great event
The hand of the creator, the almighty
I have only my experience as proof
So I'll keep it in, in my heart
Trusting what I experienced
Was given as a gift to me
Over my human mind attempts
To minimize wonder
Or to define the truth
In the Poppy Fields with Your Mother
They made a day picking poppies and a picnic
Sandwiches and wine, cheese, ham and grapes
The days seemed to linger for them, so fair
A gentle kind of warm with a slight breeze
The Elysian fields could be no better
Who cares about the weather
For when you are with your mother
All you are doing is picking flowers
Eating fruit and drinking juice
The world is lush in leisure
What could go wrong
In this earth bound version of paradise
Nature wrapped in pleasure
Except your mother might remember
Poppy fields of Belgium,
Where the flower of youth died
Maybe she comes for a reason
Much different than your own
Maybe she remembers
Seasons of youth
Once thought everlasting
Of lives cut short
Falling in poppy fields
For no real good purpose

Mother Bear
In a different time, a different life
She would have spent her life giving
In a savage world that could only take
Her role was loving and forgiving
Despite the sacrifices she'd make
In the end it was for all to go on living
With the sorrows that made her break
And I miss her more than I can say
My mother bear remains in my heart
And her loss left me massive scars
The Red Fields Remember
Memories ring with feelings
You'll know that you are alive
From the beauty, from the scent
Your memories are souvenirs
Wherever you roam
Whatever empire you serve
You can hear the world
While you are walking
Awash in the crimson field
Alive in the distant memory
Of the days of a violent past
Such beautiful imagery shocks
For no human artist
Could make it better
By the acts of their hand
Nature has an abundant artistry
But in the life of a soldier
Such beauty rarely lasts
Roman warriors of history
Cloaked in red, armed with steel
Marching through Gaul's lands
They prepared for battle
Where efforts never could yield
The defeat of an empire
That refused to die
Taking power from enemy hands
The Romans often won the day
Even if the clash was sharp
Dead and the dying would lay
Stacked like wood to be burned away
Returning to the fields
No longer alive, in silent homage
To the maker of the poppies
And to the rains of the creator
The Demand
The Emperor of the Mongols
Was nearly the ruler of the planet
The map showing their territoy
Reached from Asia to the Holy Lands
All people submitted therein
To his masterful will, to his rule
Enthralled to a form of control
Demanding obeisance
As well as obedience
Of the all of the Japanese
And also, all of their vassals
For to refuse such honorable acts
Will lead to invasion and combat
By riders of the Mongol steppe
Ships and sailors of the empire
For the glory of the Khan
Causing the land and people
Of the nation of Japan
To fully bow and submit
Before the Mongol emperor
For the present and thereafter
To build a union of people
For the future empire
Of the Mongol People
Labor Drones
Others move in lock step order
Back and forth to mother hive
To perform their assigned labor
As they march, ever marching
Never ending, efforts relentless
Exhausted, inexorable, endless
Workers buzz around the hive
Each drone knows their duties
And they have a will unbroken
Answering questions unspoken
What is it the queen requires
We serve to the end of our lives
But we are tired, and weary

Falling
Falling away from the plane
My fate could be to crash below
But if my parachute works
I'll have solidified my name
If successful my reputation grows
I have just pulled the rip cord
Nothing happened
I pulled the back up
Both chutes pull away
Separating from me
Falling gently, as it is
By definition
Of free fall or failure
Should come with an image
Of a flailing me
The last moments of life
Memories are few
As my mind races
Desperately
Hoping for salvation
As I crash into the earth
My body will be dead
Yet I'm somehow aware
My mind lives on
My spirit survives
I've lost this life
But I no longer care
If it is over, we still must hope
We've hope to survive, to grow and learn
For all of our flaws are smaller by far
Of this earth that continues to turn
No matter, our panic
However loudly we hear a call
We still have life
Humanity is yet to fall
The future not yet written
This world is yet to burn
But from the perspective
Of living in modernity
History is a distant place
We imagine ourselves able
To see far away into the future
We might still remain
Whatever it is that we've thought
Turned out, in fact, to become
The opening verse of a new epic
Where our fate is far less certain
Sitting in a tree above the kill
One that the ravens watched
Entire saga, beginning to end
The ravens now wait in trees
In a way they stalked the hunter
As she had also stalked
But this hunt has failed
For though they are hungry
The hunter is fleet
And brings home her prize
Leaving nothing for the ravens
Who now watch and chatter
How victory for one
Is a defeat for an other
Leaves a bitter feeling
And their hunger still calls
Loudly, even painfully

Nature has danger, and treasures
It seems we now find ourselves alive
In a world filled of danger, and wild
But there are none more dangerous
Than the violent human species
When we walk in the forest,
We are aware of our place
As the apex predator
The creatures of the wood
Residents of the trail ahead
Take note of the presence
Being in nature makes us the stranger
Nothing more than a hungry beast
We've crossed into the realm of space
Frontiers of galaxy our frontier
And what will we do?
Will first contact lead to death
We are the dangerous ones
A killer tribe who hunt others for sport
There are no more magical forests
We will find no hidden holy grail
Humans have tamed the wild of nature
Our predatory species will prevail
And we'll seek new grounds upon to hunt
The Storm
What if the storm we face is life
And the calm is our slow death
What if we are meant to love strife
Every bit as much we take our breath
What if there is nothing left
After a life's journey
That could take us into Hell
What if were are meant to give our self
And leave nothing but our shell
Our burnt remnants rise
Our ashes float upon the wind
We will ascend, not descend
And know peace again
I don't hate her
She'd rather I was enthralled
When playing with my heart
Which way the wind blows
The randomness plays a part
I can't answer when she calls
By the end covered in scars
So however she does her thing
And whatever way she does it
She may think herself graceful
Her way is selfish, brutal
She's the cat, I'm the mouse
To play with my heart
She has no kindness inside
In the end
I am guilty as I was the one
Providing the heart
For her to play with
She bides her time
Until the day
Until she finds
The one she might cherish
The one she will love
They Watch From A Place Far Away
There is a mindset, that humans arrive upon
Rightly or wrongly
We view advancement and great events
As defined by great technology
Inventions, innovations, all things we build
Clockwork and machines
All newly exist to amaze
They define humanity's achievements
Our creations, our dreams
A line upon which men must cross
To be seen as great
Worth exist regardless
It is not something given
It has no need for context
It comes from within, and is right
The shallow appreciation
Found only in eyes of others
Leads us to aspire
To wealth and luxury
There are those beings
Who watch, from far away
Beings that humans consider
To be others, and less than themselves
Strangers, dangerous perhaps
Living upon the fringe of our awareness
Hiding and playing in the greenery
Finding joy in any far away place
They often dance but not here
Certainly not now
Not in this circumstance
As they see the human machines
The engines and as they hear the roar
Coming from a dragon made of steel
With hot steam breath, not a being of flesh
It shakes them to the beautiful core
For they recognize the danger
However much men feel their pride
The faeries see it all as a form killing
And since we are all children from the earth
It is a form of strange suicide
For it takes trees to be cut to make a path
Mountains destroyed for the rails to follow
Once the earth has been fully tamed,
Life itself will feel hollow
And nothing will feel worthy
Of greatness
Other than the vast and deep horror
Over the destruction of the planet
The only one we call home

Don't Tell Me to Grow Up
Bringing you news for the day
If you hide from her charms
Harm will only come inside
A witness of your own decay
Every moment therein spent
With all of the seconds within
A revelation our deep confusion
Fearing the death waiting
Energy fades with every act
As we grow soft, thin, and gray
From our madness and the lack
For we've lost a desire to grow
Oh, let me be in this place
Where no one says grow up
Why don't you act mature
Stop being a fool
But I've done my time
You can't go back
I've long since became old
Long past time for school
Where the idiot bullies rule
Conformity tries your will
And the administration is cruel
So let me be free from your designs
Upon how I must live this life
Unending
The air that we breathe now
Inhaled by the lungs of Adam
The water of every ocean
If distilled, or refined
Is the water of human cells
Flows through our wine
The hope alive in every heart
Is knowledge of the divine
Even if we do not believe
Truth cannot pass from view
We are mortal, death waits
But something lives on
Beyond far horizons
Beyond oblivion
