Without Light

Oh, behind the veil of light, behind the veil of life
Darkness may linger, neither cold nor at all sterile
When the night falls, stars in all their beauty shine
Far from empty, stirring with energy, without guile
A world hidden beneath a shroud of darkened light
It bears no evil, if far from the visible world's sight
Without bias nor desire, neither sublime nor vile
It simply is, just as the light world exists, in light
But darkness holds intrigue, for all that isn't seen
And when peace is found, when we dream serene
A timeless state, in a hibernation, so very deep
Let the sleep state heal us, in our majesty's keep
