What can we do to prevent tyranny's attacks
When Franco destroyed Republican Spain
Democracies didn't help out, they abstained
Territorial piece by piece Hitler consumed
The world entered a war leading to doom
A cold war divided sides, stalling growth
That war ended, capitalism offered a toast
Let us all make money, let everyone vote
Let the market be where we fight, but
Money without principles kills hope
And each day lived with only hunger
Brings about a long, if eternal, night
War has been a path to a future
With our choices already made
And our destruction then
Has become certain
