In a driving rain
He tried lighting his cigarette
With the smoke drifting
They both stood getting wet
While they chatted
I wondered not a bit
The subject about which
They had spoke
Didn't care about it
It mattered not at all
Even had they shouted
I'd have ignored the noise
Focusing upon that small voice
That gets drown out
Inside
I need to remember
All the things that make me, me
And how there are others
Living without
No hope, hopeless
No choice, they are choice-less
I must focus on the good
Focus on the righteous
I am alive
But have to live the moment
To take hold of it all
